Unwraps (or smashes) faces and lays arbitrarily oriented faces flat on the ground.

Usage: Right-click on selected face(s) > Flatten Face or Tools menu > Unwrap and Flatten

All Edges in a selection, that are not 'hidden' or not on 'off layers', are projected onto a selected 'plane'. You must also have this WorkPlane.rb loaded to make the 'plane'.
