LightUp v5.x is a new major release of LightUp that has some great new features that really accelerate the workflow of using SketchUp and LightUp to produce high quality content; there are also many fixes and improvement to existing functionality.

The guys at PlusSpec just released a compelling video about how it generates parametric structure on the fly. The video covers drawing parametric walls in SketchUp, creating floor joists, inserting steel beams, generating roofs and much more.

Andrew Dwight, the brains behind PlusSpec, goes into detail on the strengths of using PlusSpec during the design and build stage. With insights into how PlusSpec generated SketchUp models can created fully estimated models with BIM in miuntes.
