The new release of Tekla BIMsight, the free software tool for building information modeling (BIM) project collaboration has implemented further integration with SketchUp.
This release allows direct import of .skp files along with .iges and .step.
What's new in Tekla BIMsight 1.9.1?
With Tekla BIMsight the entire construction workflow can combine their models, check for clashes, and share information using the same easy-to-use BIM environment.
Major new functionality
- You can now run conflict checking for reinforcing bars
- You can now measure distances from reinforcing bars
- You can now view note snapshots in an external viewer
- You can now disable object highlight in the model view
- SketchUp (.skp)
- STEP (.stp, .step)
- IGES (.igs, .iges)
User interface changes
- Chinese (traditional)
- Dutch
- Italian
- Korean
- Russian
- Grid elevations are now shown in the unit set in unit settings
