Revizto converts Revit and SketchUp models into lightweight, interactive virtual environments with tools for simple collaboration.

Architects, engineers, contractors, and facility managers need easy-to-use tools for visual communication for building construction. Revizto uses game engine technology to provide an interactive visualization of a building’s construction in 3D. This lets users see potential problems before construction, and visualize the building and its internal systems once the building is in operation.

Revizto converts heavy building models into lightweight Visual Information Models (“VIM”s). Once the VIM is created, it can be shared with anyone who has the Revizto Viewer app. Revizto VIMs can be viewed in any browser using the Unity3D plugin. Revizto browser Viewer is free and available for PC, Mac, iPad and Android.

Revizto offers sharing and collaboration tools similar to Google Docs. VIM-creators can share it with others and choose to give them viewing or editing rights. Users with “Viewer rights” can navigate the VIM, but can’t make changes. Users with “Editing rights” can add markers, record videos with voice over, take screenshots.

Their SketchUp (or Revit) plugin allows the export of a VIM file through which designers can collaborate with colleagues or clients easily. The plugin is only needed for the export (and upload to the cloud) while the fully functional Viewer (with all the markup and collaboration tools) is completely free.

Revisto is developed by an international company, Vizerra. As was mentioned above, it uses the Unity3D engine to quickly turn the model into a photorealistic, interactive environment and although this engine is not known as the "most photorealistic" renderer, for this collaboration job it is perfectly enough since it is not meant for final presentations.
