Overview of FredoPortrait
- Sketchup version: SU2017 and above. Some features (FaceMe Generation, Screenshots) require SU2018

FredoPortrait is an extension dealing with cameras, views and images.
It includes the following features
- Custom Cameras: storing cameras in the model at Sketchup level and later restoring them. Custom Cameras can be stored within the model or at Sketchup level, which provides a way to transfer cameras across models.
- Studio Camera settings: Accurate setting of Cameras by Longitude, Latitude and horizon angle
- Studio Export: Generation and export of images for selected objects (geometry, groups, components)
- Studio 2D Component: Generation of 2D 'flat' components from 3D objects in the model.
- Screenshot: Generation and export of images from the viewport or a portion of the viewport at specified dimensions, independently of the size of the viewport and the screen resolution.
Custom Cameras
Portrait Studio
Portrait Studio is a suite of tools allowing to specify a camera accurately, as well as filter the view based on the selection. It allows then to create or update scenes, generate images in various formats, and more generically render or export the selection with the native Sketchup exporters or 3rd party exporters. It also allow to generate 2D Components from selected 3D objects (for SU2018 and above).Most features can be accessed from the FredoPortrait Studio dialog box

Installation of FredoPortrait
IMPORTANT: Make sure that you have first installed LibFredo6.
FredoPortrait is released as a regular RBZ extension file on the Sketchucation Site.
To download the RBZ file, use the red button on the right side of this page:
- Download If your are already logged in.
- Log in to get it! otherwise, in order to log in or to register to Sketchucation as a new user (this is FREE). Then you will be able to download the RBZ file.
Then, you can install the RBZ file from within Sketchup, via the Sketchup Extension Manager
If you are not familiar with the installation of Sketchup extensions and Sketchucation, it is advised to watch the video LibFredo6 installation.
IMPORTANT: Whatever way you choose, you MUST quit and restart Sketchup to get FredoPortrait (and LibFredo6) properly loaded.
After the installation, you should have the following footprint in the Sketchup Plugins directory:
- Sketchup versions: SU2017. Screenshot works for SU2018 and above
- Platform: Windows and Mac OSX
- Language: English, French
- Menus: by default, it is installed in Tools > Fredo6 Collection > FredoPortrait...
- Icon toolbar: FredoPortrait
