podium 3 sneak peek

SU Podium developers Cadalog Inc have been working on v3 for the past few months and lately gave us a sneak peek at what is in store in 2013. Current SU Podium V2 users will be able to try out the beta version in the coming month to get a feel for all the new features that are integrated into SU Podium.

Podium is known for making rendering easier in SketchUp and this latest version will allow users to perform a host of post processing edits directly within Podium. To find out more about what new features are in SU Podium v3 click the read more below.

Firstly there is the Podium Image Editor or PIE which is a simple 2D image editor that can be launched directly from the Podium Render Manager. With this you can now do some fast image editing or post processing without having to open a full blown Photoshop like editor. Here you will find many features that will improve the rendered image's quality from the RGB channel level sliders to adding your own background to alpha transparent rendered images.

Next up is the Podium Preset Editor or PPE used to create and modify Podium's render presets. This will allow you to modify render presets with a text editor to create your own custom setups. Some level of scripting is needed here but it does open p new opportunities for users who like to dabble in some code.

Cadalog Inc will be providing some support material to help users with adjusting the various parameters needed to tweak render templates and save your own custom presets.
