Tips and tricks for printable SketchUp models
Wall thickness
In 3D printing, wall thickness refers to the distance between one surface of your model and the opposite sheer surface. Minimal wall thickness depends on the chosen material. For instance, polyamide has a minimal wall thickness of 0.8 to 1 mm. Zero-thickness walls (only planes representing a wall) are not printable.

Real 3D objects
On a 3D print, you have to use real 3D objects instead of flat representations. On the Trimble 3D Warehouse, we offer a library that contains trees, people, cars, and more. The flat people in SketchUp are not printable.

Colors and textures
When you order a multicolor 3D print, all colors and textures are printed along. We advise to use pastel colors for a softer look.
