Activate the Plugin Open SketchUp and launch the MAJ Window plugin from the MAJ Architect toolbar.

Adjust Set the window’s type, height, and position from the wall's bottom. The window width will be automatically matched to the selected wall.

Select a Wall You can click on the wall where you'd like to place your window. The plugin works with any wall, including layered walls from MAJ Wall. If using the MAJ Wall, the plugin makes the wall area behind the window transparent for a realistic opening.

Select First side Click to select the first side of the window.

Select Second Side Click to select the other side of the window.

Finish The plugin automatically cuts the wall and creates a window, and places the window inside the wall.

Installation

Download the MAJ Window .rbz file.

In SketchUp, go to Window → Extension Manager → Install Extension.

Select the .rbz file and click Open.

Restart SketchUp to activate the plugin.

Works as a standalone plugin; installation does not require MAJ Architect, but can also be used within the suite for full functionality.

Quick Start

Launch MAJ Window from the toolbar.

Select the wall for the window.

Choose a window type or create a custom one.

Adjust width, height, and placement.

Click Apply to insert the window.

Customize materials if desired.

Window Types

Fixed Window: Non-opening window with frame and glass.

Casement Window: Hinged window that swings open.

Sliding Window: Horizontally sliding sashes.

Custom Window: Fully adjustable dimensions, frame, and glass.

Settings & Parameters

Width / Height: Exact dimensions of the window.

Sill Height: Distance from floor to bottom of the window.

Frame Thickness: Depth of the window frame.

Material Assignment: Colors or textures for frame and glass.

Wall Transparency: Enabled automatically if MAJ Wall is active.

Usage Tips

Use MAJ Wall for layered walls to see transparent openings.

Select the correct wall before placing a window.

For custom windows, create the frame first, then apply glass material.

Check alignment in 3D view before finalizing.

Troubleshooting

Window not cutting wall: Ensure the wall is visible and selectable.

Wall not transparent: Verify MAJ Wall plugin is active.

Window misaligned: Reset wall or adjust placement parameters.
