Make Materials from Layer Names:

Makes new Materials, named after the Layer names.
If >v2013 the Layers' colors are used for the Materials,
on older versions random-colors are used.
The default-layer name 'Layer0' is not included in the new Material names.

Make Layers from Material Names:

Makes Layers, named after the Material names.
If >v2013 the Materials' colors are used for the Layers.
on older versions random-colors are used.
If a Material is named 'Layer0' it is not included in the new Layer names.

Set Materials from Layer Names:

All Faces and Groups/Components are assigned a Material based on their Layer name.
Nested Faces and Groups/Components are processed.
You should have made Layers based on Material names before using this.
Faces and Groups/Components on the default-layer 'Layer0' are assigned
the default-material.
All backfaces are assigned the defaultmaterial.

Set Layers from Material Names:

All Faces and Groups/Components are assigned a Layer based on their Material name.
Nested Faces and Groups/Components are processed.
You should have made Materials based on Layer names before using this.
Faces and Groups/Components with the default-material are assigned
the default-layer 'Layer0'.
