Kubity Examples

Postby Paul Russam » Sun Apr 24, 2016 11:04 pm

Here are a couple of Kubity links, we've found it very useful especially for showing a client who's not local progress on their project.

Interesting. Thanks! I see in the multi-unit development they're all finished and furnished inside (!), though it is very difficult to look inside with the interface.

In the next update of the app, you'll be able to navigate from scene to scene. We've been working hard to improve the overall experience and specifically navigation.
Lots of features are still not yet documented, for example, if you're lost you just have to shake your mobile to reinitialize the view.

Many things seem to float as if the shadows are offset too much.

A couple of projects I spent the weekend cleaning up to make them less cluttered with lighting elements from a rendering program....

https://www.kubity.com/p/6OevDc
https://www.kubity.com/p/1XN0m5

I find that once I'm close enough to the model I put Kubiman inside and then jump him around within the model it's alot less sensitive to sudden movement.

Really loving the potential for engaging clients
Thanks!

you just have to press the right button and move around, or maybe you're asking for something else?

What I normally do:
Make a copy of the file and append -Kubity to the file name.
Delete any hidden layers along with their contents.
Move the model so that it's near 0,0
Purge components/materials etc.

What I have noticed is tha Kubity needs a recent device, on my iPhone 6s Plus it's brilliant but on my iPad Air it will often crash.

or maybe you don't have enough storage available on your phone? the error message is not very explicit, should be fixed.

Hi Omriron
Your model seems to be scaled about 100 times too big for Kubity, the scale is in meter inside Kubity. If you activate the first person mode or the cardboard mode after rescale your model (from 1.0 to 0.01), you can walk easily and appreciate even more the navigation.

Guys,

You can embed Kubity models directly

If the URL is https://www.kubity.com/p/M6O1Tt

Grab the M6O1Tt at the end and place it between...

Code: Select all
[kubity]M6O1Tt[/kubity]

...to embed it

Ha, we're thinking of heading to Galway for a weekend so I'll let you know. Also I may have to go to the Cliffs of Moher to look at the Visitor Centrefor a similar project 'up north'
