Thea Rendering settings

Postby nicholas3009 » Sun Oct 07, 2018 5:51 pm

Hi, I would like to know from the experienced thea render users for sketchup regarding the render settings as I am new.

What is the recommended engine to use in terms of final renders for architectural spaces and perspectives. I believe IR-Presto is favored towards interactive renders. I was wondering as referred from the Thea manual if the unbiased TR would be the best choice for final renders as its faster and better in quality? (not too sure)

Also, I realised while I was rendering a certain scene while testing out Thea. Is there a progress bar which says how much percentage it has been rendered because I realised the progress bar in between he pause and the stop button refreshes and it seems to go on forever until i hit the stop button.. This is could be a problem if i were to leave my computer to do a batch render and the first renders doesnt complete by itself.. Besides setting the time limit and sampling, is there another way to tell if the render is finished?

next, where are the controls to activate a 'region render' and is it only possible in interactive render mode?

Presto is the fastest. and BSD is the appropriate one for the animation.
One might find information here:
