General discusson for Skatter for SketchUp

I just saw that Forest Pack came out with a new update and part of it was some really nice additions to their content library. Lots of grass types, gravel, mulch, and carpet.
Any chance we might be able to get some added content in the future?

Could there be a way users to submit content to skatter/the website that would be reviewed then added to the program? Take a little of the burden off the skatter team (of one I think?)

Or, how about unique content from users, maybe a Skatter pack at a reasonable price? I have been pondering making one but not sure if the effort will pay off, not even sure what would be needed/wanted.

I would be glad to include user content in the official releases jsteacy wrote:Could there be a way users to submit content to skatter/the website that would be reviewed then added to the program? Take a little of the burden off the skatter team (of one I think?)
You can submit anything you want to support@getskatter.comsolo wrote:Or, how about unique content from users, maybe a Skatter pack at a reasonable price? I have been pondering making one but not sure if the effort will pay off, not even sure what would be needed/wanted.
You mean a separate package, with only user-submitted content, that people pay for, and the price is then split between the contributors? Or something else? At some point, I would also like to create some kind of "Skatter Warehouse", but that may be far away in the future.

I was thinking maybe a Skatter pack that can somehow be installed, sold through Sketchucation asset store maybe, I dunno what format or how it will be achieved. Just thinking out loud. Besides all different grasses and shrubs, I was thinking leaves, rocks, stones, etc.

I'm working on a means to make getting content from our shop directly in SU.
It'll work for premium and regular members.
If Skatter has some method to add them to its library we could look at that too.
It'd be cool to just grab content from the shop when you need it and Skatter it.
There's a frontroom and a backroom....reverse faces

I bet we could make quite a few presets from Mads' collection from The Meadow set that was on Ronen's site. With his permission of course. http://www.ronenbekerman.com/making-mea ... p-skatter/

I just bought the Realistic Lawns set in the Sketchucation Store. This is a great start to beefing up your Skatter library. BIG thanks to Rich on these! GrassPackTest.jpg

It's obvious that having a good default library will allow more users to be interested in Skatter.
