Postby hvanessen » Sun Nov 16, 2014 7:47 pm

How do i make a night render in thea for sketchup.
When i disable the sky and the sun i get the same amount of light when the are enable. It looks like a clear daylight. (i set the time to 7:00pm)

That definitely doesn't sound right...

As Solo already asked - what render preset are you using??

Thea Render doesn't have a night sky system - yet...
To achieve a night effect, I recommend that you use a spherical night IBL/HDRI...
It's definitely possible... :)

Thea's physical sky is for daylight rendering. But like said, any HDR night sky is probably useable... even good quality spherical jpg might go. You can download a "Night" HDR sky via Thea's build-in update feature (Help > Check for Updates...).
