Anyone?a better way to make this organic ottoman?

Anyone?a better way to make this organic ottoman?

Postby Jet » Fri Nov 18, 2011 9:33 pm

Hey guys,

Long time no see! I'm back! Because I miss you all so much!(Liar!) Actually, I need to make a not so organic ottoman, and I need to use the pictures I took as texture on specific places. A little bit stuck on making the organic shape while still have to keep the images on the specific places.

Anyone have a better way to make it more life-like?

Thank you!

Oh, no! It takes forever to upload a very small file. Don't know why. That's one thing weird about this site. Maybe the system is too special.

Working on it still...

Use Artisan or SDS to create a Proxy like this

Thank you Rich. can I use a top view picture of the object as texture on this shape? and how about the side? it will look disconnected.

This was a quick and dirty try. The rest in your capable hands... ;)

I'd suggest getting a bit further with your model as it's easier suggest a direction when your at a crossroads.

Well done Alvis :thumb:

I was wondering how the ottoman might be simply constructed. You have broken the problem into small parts and found a solution for each then put these part solutions together to solve the overall problem.

This is a good way to solve complex modelling problems! Small Bites :D

I presume you will be making a Mini Publication on this and adding it to your, Grete Jalk Armchair and Chairs for kids by Alvydas in http://books.sketchucation.com/
