Very funky TIG. I would struggle modelling one like that in 30minutes though!

I actually did a treehouse about 20 years ago for a client for his "cabin" (He said with a huge ironic smirk on his face) up in the wasatch mountains. It actually was framed in steel and wrapped in logs and such and nestled up in the trees where he could access it from his balcony. It was a huge Hot tub. Pretty cool (and pretty 80's) if I say so myself. I will have to find some pics if I can. This was before the days of SU and Digital cameras.

Man I am old. :o

I think it should be whatever one wants. It seems to me that part of these speed challenges was to not only demonstrate great modeling skills.. .. but also how one interprets the name of the challenge> Treehouse or bugs could mean anything to anybody and I think that's what makes it fun. if you prescribe the "tree" that would tend to be a pretty literal interpretation. ." put a house in this tree" whereas by keeping it open it could mean

Make a house out of a tree
tree house in a palm tree
a house for trees. . .
a house for Tree Rollins. . .anything!
