20111020 update includes new ES lingvo files and a minor db correction to EEbyLathe 20111023 update now only smooths mesh edges with more than one face in EEbyLathe/..Faces/..Loft and ..Rail 20111102 update EEbyLathe - Fixed Picked-Angle's messy undo. Smoothed-edges now stop @90º. 20111113 There are two tools updated so that the 'Quad Faces' options to meet Thomthom's revised spec for Quad-Tool's 'quad-faces'... ExtrudeEdgesByRails http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtop ... 86#p201286 ExtrudeEdgesByLoft http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtop ... 16#p231016 Built-in method 'group.copy' method replaced to avoid clashes with some rogue scripts that mess with built-in methods, in six of the scripts
The Tools should now appear in the 'Plugins' Menu 'Extrude Tools' submenu and also on an 'Extrude Tools' toolbar, which you might need to activate from the View > Toolbars menu item...
If you have an earlier installation of the tools, which had some other .rb files within the Plugins folder and some support files inside the 'TIGtools' folder then these are automatically removed as the new toolset is installed, and equivalent files are added into the new locations...
None of the various tools' basic processes have changed in this upgrade. It has been done to rationalize the location of files, make the code more robust and it also anticipates possible future changes to the way plugins might work to avoid issues in the coming months... Because it deletes some old files from earlier versions you might get error messages, and it's now an Extension you'll need to restart SketchUp to register it and activate it... Restarting SketchUp should resolve these issues [you will need FULL security permissions to your Plugins folder to add the file and make the possible deletions] Latest update resolves some issues with 'TIGtools' folder tidy up, and require 'extensions.rb'... Enjoy To download the toolset's latest RBZ archive find its listing/download-link at the 'SCF PluginStore' page:
then for >=v8 use the Preferences > Extensions > Install... button... OR you can AutoInstall it using the 'SketchUcation Plugin Store' dialog within SketchUp itself... http://sketchucation.com/resources/plug ... download... For earlier SketchUp versions <v8M2 add .ZIP on the end of the RBZ file's name and extract its contents into the Plugins folder manually. The top-level .rb file should go directly into the Plugins folder: the other files [rb, lingvo, png etc] must stay in the 'ExtrudeTools' subfolder, inside Plugins. Individual tools with the subfolder can also be disabled as desired, by adding a ! to the end of their .rb suffix... Then those won't load or make a menu/toolbar command.

Tig, I already installed them from the separate threads, and they work like a charm (including the toolbar. Thanks very much for these exellent tools. erikB
TIG I agree with Jim, and thank you for providing this as a set. Of course, I did not see this thread until after I batch unzipped the separate ones and looked at New Posts.

Thats odd, I was just off playnig with another of TIG's plugins thinking about how it could use a good tutorial made for it. Perhaps it is time to dig in and start doing more script videos. They do get a lot of hits on Youtube. And I get hate mail from people saying I don't speak clearly enough. But the crickets, kids and dishes being washed in the background are big hits!
Perhaps we need to start a Plugin Video Tutorial thread ? We could determine which ones would be suitable for them and swap tips on how best to do it ?

Really? I've always thought you spoke very clearly in your videos. (They should hear me talking - then they'd shut up!) I have several times considered to offer to hire you to do some videos.
Pilou has updated all 4 of the FR lingvo files - they'll be included in future updates but if you want to install them straightaway then download this zip file and extract the 4 files into ../Plugins/TIGtools/ and overwrite any earlier copies...
Tip: If you want the FR language for the tools' dialogs and prompts etc BUT have your locale set to another id - e.g. EN-US - then simply rename the file with that suffix and it'll be used... e.g. XxxxFR.lingvo becomes XxxxEN-US.lingvo
viewtopic.php?p=217663#p217663 Is the latest update - the main changes are updated lingvo files and in EEbyR a picking order glitch has been fixed. See the individual tools' threads' links for more details...
@Arc: Nice video!!! Music was pleasant enough, just not my style Would love to see the process between the completion of the crescent and the final product, perhaps in another thread.

hey TIG,
is the zip updated as well? personally, it's easier to update the entire suite instead of individually (even if only one of the tools have been updated) because i can just overwrite everything instead of having to open the TIGtools folder and only overwrite certain files.

viewtopic.php?p=217663#p217663 links to a zip of everything current today [in this thread] - see the suffix on zip's name... This time I also updated each tools' thread too - from now on I'll probably keep the combo zip up to date, and then remove any zips from the four tools' threads - bt keeping the threads' links for the tools' instruction/version-info parts only... So there's no need to get the other tool zips... IF you get the combo-zip here viewtopic.php?p=217663#p217663
zip Combo works first time out on the Mac, great to see them altogether now, well done...
still get the 5th button? maybe Jeff could see if it replicates on his Mac.
Jeff, if I open SU with the toolbar off, and then open it I get 4 EEby... tool buttons, if I open SU having not turned off EEby...TB before quiting, I get a 5th button, it does nothing except changes colour, everthing works if it's there or not, would you mind checking before I fresh install everything again? it might be a Mac thing...

learn from the mistakes of others, you may not live long enough to make them all yourself...

i can't replicate it.. i always get only 4 toolbar buttons no matter what i do.
i've done it on a PPC/tiger/SU6 & intel/leopard/SU7.
could there be a conflict with another plugin causing this?
