"my "ART-SKETCH COMPONENTS"..."my "ART-SKETCH COMPONENTS"...Hi everyone! Firstly some bad news... It's a pitty , I have to start the topic "my" ART-SKETCH COMPONENTS" at a new board, have to start it blank...
It disappeared from the old board and hasn't appeared at a new one... It must have been a technical mistake of a transfer... A side effect of moving on... But cheer up: I will copy those components and files that were there step by step later... I have all the post info saved... ... Want to answer the latest questions: ...to Antoino6911: I have already mentioned I deal with the design of built in furniture (wardrobes, furniture case etc.) That's why the components I need are specific - house things, clothes, instruments and tools...and there's a minimal chance to find them anywhere on the internet. So I have to do it by myself. I consider myself to be a creative person. That's why when after finishing a component, I start improvise and create something else...This can be labelled as a hobby. For instance, I have done individual shelves for a garrage recently. The client asked to place several sets of wheels for his cars there. I have modelled a wheel, And the final result can be seen below... ...to Takuji: I have seen your model (it seems to be an alien) Takuji, the the principle of building my models is different than yours... In my models the model's skeletion is hung to the texture (photo), that mean I do the form based on a texture. your varriant seems to be more classical: making a form and then "painting" it with textures. But the alien model can be done as you want to. We need: 1 the model (pre-made without textures), 2 photo of high quality (front, left or right), and finally, besides SKETCHUP knowledge, you have to be skilled in PHOTOSHOP. Without it, I am convinced, it is almost impossible to create a good model... --pupil forever...------

Re: "my "ART-SKETCH COMPONENTS"...Hi Urgen,
Yes, as I wrote in the PM, it was most probably me who screwed up something. Sorry againg - now at last in public - but really good news you still have the post info saved. If you want, I can recreate the whiole thread from it and attribute every single post to its original poster (simply the way we are actually doing the transfer). Seriously, I'd be extremely glad if I could do this so therefore please, send me all the info so that I can redeem my fauld by recovering your topic. The best would be via email (maybe the files are too big) at gaieus(at)gaieus(dot)hu. This was such a great topic that it must be retrieved Thanks in advance (today I'm going for some family lunch since we celebrate Christmas more on 24th evening than on the Day of Christmas but I could do it tomorrow). And since you are from Russia, I guess you celebrate Christmas in January but anyway - a Happy New Year and a Merry Christmas to you (in this way this order ![]() Re: "my "ART-SKETCH COMPONENTS"...The holidays are coming and I would like to create the holiday magic atmosphere and a good mood in pictures...enjoy it!!!

Re: "my "ART-SKETCH COMPONENTS"...Wow, it didn't occur to me that this was native SketchUp until I downloaded your *.skp. Now I see. This is really impressive and shows me how much there is to learn in SU.

Re: "my "ART-SKETCH COMPONENTS"...urgen, awesome work there!
I was hoping somebody could download the file and host it on an english server, I'm flying blind on the russian download page - I've tried the links (after the counter is done, that url) without success. Save the Earth, it's the only planet with chocolate.

Re: "my "ART-SKETCH COMPONENTS"...Urgen,
So good!!..thanks. Questions: What kind of camera are you using? Are you using a "light box" or natural lighting? Have you found an average optimum file size for you photo textures? Cheers!!
Re: "my "ART-SKETCH COMPONENTS"...
I use standard photoshop's filters. Here I used the "filterforge"(Freepack 1 – Metals). http://www.filterforge.com/download/ ----- it is very funny! ![]() --pupil forever...------
Re: "my "ART-SKETCH COMPONENTS"...Yes Urgen, but the photographs??? Did you take them, and if so I am still curious about these two things...
Re: "my "ART-SKETCH COMPONENTS"...
...Sorry, didn't get the whole question ![]() ![]() A piece of advise for work: 1. firstly, the photo should be of a really good quality. 2. the size of the final photo should be not more than 100KB/ 3. I usually try to do the textures of a big size with decreasing their quality (JPG), although it is not always possible... 4. I do the textures in PHOTOSHOP, always a bit sharper than I want it to be...in sketchup they look pretty good... Hi to everybody!!!One more time HAPPY HOLIDAYS, MOre information next year!!! ![]() Last edited by urgen on Sat Jan 05, 2008 8:23 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: "my "ART-SKETCH COMPONENTS"...hello everyone!
first of all want to wish a Merry X-mas for those, who are orthodox. ![]() ![]() The main thing is MAKE COPY(CTRL+C) of one from the sizes in the window EDIT TEXTURE of the basic texture and PASTE(CTRL+V) in the same window of the new texture... this is simple... ![]() --pupil forever...------
