look at face

Postby dammerel » Fri Nov 30, 2007 4:20 am

hi all
While modelling, can you pick a face and "look at" it ?
also what would be the best way to draw a series on hole on a diameter (P.C.D)

Thanks
Andrew

Andrew,

1) if you mean whether you can align your view to a face easily then yes. Right click on it and select "align view". this will orbit the camera perpendicular to the given face (now this does not work with curved faces though).

2) I don't understand your question, sorry.

Hi folks.

See attached SU file for ideas.

Note that this model is not drawn to any specific measurement but is given solely as an example.

Hi Andrew,

I use the camera menu a lot. Camera, Standard Views, then pick which view you need. It's a quick and easy way to get to the side you need to see.
