Yeah, that was a model I put on the Warehouse. It's no longer there, but I'm glad to see it getting some use.

Thanks, Steve. Your model was very useful. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hi everyone, I hope you had a great weekend. Not that I expect people to reply, but sometimes it is nice to see you guys are interested in my work by posting comments, feedback or questions. Don't worry, I won't bite. Anyway, back to the Sketchup models. I have posted sci-fi and contemporary military vehicles, submarines, tanks, spaceship, droids, helicopters. How about some airplanes? So here's a couple of them. Ken, your work is mind blowing, I'd really love to see your texturing techniques, all your stuff is so well made and textured.

I do most of my texturing in Photoshop as postwork with different types of layers (diffuse/colors/materials; grimmaps; highlights, etc.). I play with the layer styles (multiply, overlay, etc.). I hope the images below will be useful to you. Please let me know if you have any questions. Have a great one! _KN

Hi guys, I hope you had a great weekend. Here's another tutorial showing a little bit more layers than the previous images. Usually most of my renders have an alpha channel so I can separate the vehicle from the background. You can have the alpha channel either with the option in Vray for Sketchup (or any other rendering engines should have it, too), or create your own in Sketchup my making your model all black and the background white. I have also shown a Decal layer here. I always have lots of them for the little details. I have somewhat merged them in the Diffuse/Colors layer in the previous tuts. Hope this helps. Have a wonderful week! _KN
Here's another tank.
