Hi guys!
My name is Rob, and I work in Garagefarm.NET online render farm team.
We have been supporting Sketchup rendering for quite some time and recently created a plugin for Sketchup and V-Ray. I think we have very cool features for rendering both animations and still images!
The plugin works as a .vrayscene exporter and we support rendering with various modes that you can use according to your project’s needs.
Rendering high resolution still images
For still images you can choose the number of strips ( parts ) to which the image will be divided and then rendered on multiple computers. Then the strips are automatically merged into the final image.

Overview of Page animation rendering mode:
This mode is designed for rendering animations. You can select a start and end page of an animation. Each page frame is rendered on a single machine. This mode supports scalable animation time.
Overview of Rendering animation or a still image using `Frames render`mode
This mode is designed for more advanced Sketchup users who are familiar with operating on frames, not Sketchup pages. It gives you the possibility of choosing the exact frame range in animation or the exact frame to render as a still shot.
- The plugin works on Windows and Mac and supports non-Latin characters. That means that you can upload your scenes regardless of the language you set in your operating system.
- We support Sketchup 2017-2018 and V-Ray 3.4+ and add new versions as they are released- your project will be automatically rendered on the V-Ray version that you use.
- We support VR Scans and V-Ray proxy assets
- We support Sketchup layers
- We support all available GI solutions with all combinations (Irradiance Map, Light Cache, Brute Force). Our rendering system automatically calculates GI bake for animations, to avoid the ‘flickering’ effect.
- We support automatic GI baking for animations
- We support render elements outputs
- We support ACT Camera objects and recommend using it with our plugin
Other features:
- Our Cost Calculator is an integral part of the plugin’s GUI. Please note that it gives a very rough estimate. We recommend running a test in lower resolution (for still images) or with a step (for animations) to get a close cost estimation.
- Your assets (like textures) are uploaded to our farm only once, as long as you upload the scenes from the same folder. This means that if you want to render multiple cameras or versions of the same scene, you can do so without having to re-upload assets that already exist in the corresponding project directory on our end.
If you have any questions or doubts I will be happy to answer them. You can also talk with us on our
live chat – we are online 24/7.
Happy Rendering!

Re: GarageFarm.NET - Sketchup and V-Ray online renderfarm.Hi guys!
My name is Rob, and I work in Garagefarm.NET online render farm team. Since my last post, our developers' team added new features and fixed several bugs to make the experience easier and more comfortable. New features - Our plugin creates a temporary folder for the project which will be uploaded and rendered on our farm. Now you can choose the location of this folder on your computer. Fixes - We fixed an issue with the Page animation mode rendering, and Brute Force + Light Cache GI setup. Now the Light Cache can be calculated before rendering in all render modes. - We improved our .vrscene exporter - assets which are missing or ignored by the user won’t interrupt the rendering process - We fixed the issue with the size of warning\error prompts - We fixed issues with our plugin display in Sketchup GUI - We fixed an issue with setting Global Illumination mode in GUI. Please remember that we have a team of wranglers online 24/7 who can answer your questions or help you with rendering. Just give us a shout on our Live Chat and we will be happy to help you.
