Do you have any idea how to make "soft cut"? I would need to cut a hole to the geometry and I would need to make the edges of the cut geometry soft/round because the object will be 3d printed.
This is something I would like to achieve:
Softening a cut

Re: Softening a cutFor whatever reason, your images haven't uploaded. Best bet, though is to upload the SKP file so we can see what you are trying to accomplish. Please also complete your profile with SketchUp version and operating system. That information helps us help you.

Re: Softening a cutNew try with the pictures. I don't know what happened with the links.
Now the original post also includes example of the model. Unfortunately I am not able to upload the actual model because it is not my own model. The attached example of of the model is quite low poly but I in the final model I would need to make the model high poly in order to have nice and smooth 3D printed object. I also updated my profile a little. I am still using 2017 Sketchup Make.
Re: Softening a cutI think the best approach would bt to draw the shape of the hole including the rounded edge and use the whole thing as a drill to cut the hole.

Re: Softening a cutHi, might not be a SubD approach also be suitable for this? Finally you could remain in a simple base geometry, similar to this (unfinished!) proxy-sketch below...

Re: Softening a cutSome time ago, Jeff Hammond did a great example using Curviloft to do just such a thing. the video is here: http://www.youtube.com/v/gy5VGSxST2Q
In the same thread, others posted some other options. Worth a look: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=46136&p=412551&hilit=curviloft#p412551 Re: Softening a cutThanks for everybody for suggestions/tips. I will need to do some testing.
I was also thinking that maybe I will try to take the created geometry to Blender and test if I can use Blender for making the whole with soft edges.
