Follow Me and Rotate Plugin not working

Hello All,
I recently installed the follow me and rotate plugin through the sketchucation plugin installer. The plugin does not work. Every time i load sketchup it a diolouge pop up that says, Error: SketchUp:1:ineval'. Then when i try to use the plugin, following all the instructions i get this message in the ruby console box. Maybe I try installing it again. I just installed it a few minutes ago and restarted SketchUp. No error messages and it works as advertised.

Cannot get this to work with SU 2017, no dialogue appears.

It hasn't been updated for years so it's not surprising that it doesn't work.

I'm having a blond moment, I have not used these tools in a while and I need to extrude a shape vertically like a corkscrew and cannot figure out why it's so difficult.

This one hasn't been updated for years either.
Maybe Eneroth Upright Extruder would do the job for you. Get it in the Extension Warehouse.

Tried that without success, I used SU8 and 'follow and rotate' worked for my needs. Thanks

This tool fails in v2017 [like several others].
It also has several longstanding coding deficiencies, which would require wide-ranging recoding...
Fixing it won't be an easy task...
