kubity.com Temporarily Under Maintenance

Postby rebecamoreno » Thu Jun 30, 2016 1:59 pm

Kubity.com will be under maintenance starting today at 2:00 PM GMT as we’re getting the last bits together for a big update. We expect to be back online at best for a few hours, and at the latest by next week.

For the past months, we have been building qrVR, a new and improved product that will make 3D sharing safer and faster, and visualization much smoother and easier.

Note that you’ll still be able to see the models in your app when offline.
We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause you.

We’ll be right back ;)

Oh what a terrible tease this it, the new app has appeared on the AppStore but the site is still down for maintenance so we cant upload new models with scenes .... you are a cruel cruel team :)

The new app looks really nice, much much quicker and far more intuitive. The sun setting is a wonderful addition... well done and thank you.

PS
hurry up :)

English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark allies, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

Yes it is!
There are still some technical issues (previous embed models for example) but we're on it!

COLOUR ME IMPRESSED!!!
Scenes now work when viewing it in Google Cardboard or similar, a flick of the magnet on the side and you jump between scenes!!! Not working in the browser yet but the button is there with a coming soon tooltip.
Shadows are much much better and adjustable!!

This is a real leap forward guys and gals, well done :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I should have said this earlier but the excitement got to me :)
I started with a Google cardboard which proved the concept would work and then picked up a pair of these: http://kaiserbaas.com/products/wearables/vr-x-headset/ They were £35 from Maplin in the UK (http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/kaiser-baas-v ... dset-a68uw) and have individual focus for each eye and width (diopter?) adjustment. For £35 I cant recommend them enough and ..... they fit my iPhone 6s Plus perfectly, ther's even a set of cushions in the box so you can avoid the power/volume buttons being pressed when the phone is in the slideout carrier.

Here's another test https://www.qrvr.io/p/iEpl7n
It works really well in VR as I have a scene for each stage of the recladding process (models left to right)
