How to embed Kubity Models

Postby Rich O Brien » Fri May 20, 2016 12:36 pm

You can now embed you Kubity models directly into posts by simply grabbing the end of your models URL...

kubity-embed.png

...and wrapping it with the following BBcode tags...

Code: Select all
[kubity]U2dmHP[/kubity]

...Here's what a successful embed looks like.

Rich O Brien (or others),

Could you or someone please give a step by step process of how to achieve wrapping with the the BBcode tags...embeded code in the model. How does it work?

Great 3d viewer with lots of potential, thank you Kubity.

Thank you for your quick reply.

What is the advantages of using
the embeded code
as opposed to using html?

In Rich O Brien's example what is the "context"
of using the code?

Could you give an example of its use.

Regards.

My last post just answered one question:
One question answered from my above list :)

By using the code in this editor the link is established to the
Kubity site. The link shows the graphic of the model.

Not sure what the advantage is other than giving a quick "picture overview"
of the model that is available at Kubity.

If you click the Kubity embed then you can view the model in the post.

The context of use would be to share a design with viewing within a thread

For some reason, the embed never opens for me. Tried yesterday and today. I am using the latest version of Firefox. I just get the spinning circle line. Is there something which needs to be enabled for this to work?

I've noticed there could be problem opening a file if you had more than one open in another browser tab.

Yes, it's a memory issue we've been working on and that will be fixed in our next update.
If you use the latest version of 64 bits modern browser and you do not have hundreds of tabs opened it should be ok :)

Thought I had asked this before, but is there any plan for Kubity to work in IE?

We support Edge but unfortunately it'll be complicated to support IE.
It's impossible for you to use another browser?

Not impossible for me but most of our customers us IE. I do not have control of what browser they use. It is still the most used browser (particularly in business environments). At least that is what I am still reading.

Yes you're right, IE is still used but it won't last. Gladly, we support natively iPhone/iPad and Android devices so there are still options for customers to visualize your projects ;-)
