I didn't know where to post this but I'm looking from someone to create a more accurate stone veneer texture for a rendering I'm working on for home owner's association. Is there a website or someone on here that would be able to assist me in this matter?

I didn't but I'll look later. Might be too rustic. I've been using a material from poliigon.com which I thought was close enough but apparently there's someone at the homeowner's association with nothing better to do.

Thanks Rich. They want an exact match which is rather unusual especially for something like stone. The material I use now is Brick Old 04 from Poligon. Some clients seem to think you can create assets at the press of a button. Screenshot 2022-04-13 at 16-43-17 Search - Poliigon.png

Over here that's called Dressed Fieldstone and it's common enough. That might help with your searching.
I'll keep browsing what I have....

Is something like this helpful. It looks a lot like Napa wall stone that we use around here but usually there's no lichen.

Quote them for the asset creation, make it worth it as it won't be simple. See how serious they are about needing an exact match.

as i just moved into a neighborhood with an HOA - they want: the plat map, landscape plan, house elevations, topology map, and the actual stone samples (sent or brought to ARC meeting). so i can replace 50ft of crappy plastic edging with actual block... i'd hate to see what they want if i have to add a shrubbery! this is a site i've been using lately: https://www.sketchuptextureclub.com/

For Council any "reasonable representation" of materials should suffice. Any of the suggested materials will work. Unless it is a heritage issue, In which case you would render with a "reasonable facsimile" Put the image you posted on the document, with the note "this is a detail of the stone finish represented on the 3D render"

Thanks everyone! We've sidelined this texture for the project for the time being.

agreed, but that assumes rational people in the council... not always a given, and incumbency has its advantages when it comes to making a change of people composing the ruling group...

If you had a bigger picture of more stones I could make it seamless for you (make it a repeatable texture)... Here's a seamless version of the picture you sent earlier, perhaps that would work for you? With a bigger picture it would be better quality.

Thanks Arengu. I requested the client to get a large image of the stone veneer to no resolve. I ended up getting a texture from someone else that resolved the issue.
Thanks to everyone else that chimed in.
