Instead of projecting onto the surface along the vertical axies, Skatter generates the objects directly on the faces. For now it is only available for the "Random" distribution type.

Seems to be a long time request of mine, but does this mean it follows face's UV mapping or are you defining UV's as sketchup would?
I mean, can we change destribution if we use a texture on the face and change the face's UV mapping with context menu texture > position? Or is your UV just a way of refering to face coordinates but with no special control?
EDIT: Sorry! EXCELLENT Feature! Long time request!

I wasn't talking about bitmap distribution. Only on controlling UV global coordinates and let skatter distribution be defined on face. Like simply rotating the UV axis.

This will be relevant when I bring the Wrap mode to Grid and Uniform distribution. But Random is, well, random ^^ It doesn't follow any pattern or anything like that.

Yes you're right... I guess I was just curious for the potential. Random seems very suited for most jobs! Thanks!

Cannot seem to get Skatter (either 1.1.0 or even an older version now) to install properly. The attached document is a screen shot of the error message I receive after uninstalling Skatter and trying to reinstall. Help? skatter.jpg

Make sure that Sketchup is closed, and to run the installer as administrator.

Have you tried running the installer as administrator? Instead of double click on the installer file, try right clickng and "run as admin"

The latest release doesn't seem to have a correct hash. Any way of getting an updated hash so we can go back to running Identified Only? Thanks!
