[REQ] view overlay of skatter zones

Hi Thomas,

Is there a way to visually see the overlaying of skattered zones?
Example: I want a pyjama stripes of grass and bushes. So I paint a grass zone with the brush, and want to overlay a bush skatter but I don't actually see where I already painted the grass. Of course I could create a striped surface using 2 different textures but what's the use of paintbrush then?

The ideal would be that the zones remain, with different colorschemes (alla color by layer fashion...

I think this is an important feature.
It should be possible to display all the different skatters side by side otherwise you end up skattering twice the same zone.

Now you have to enter edit mode to display each skatter, but therefore you can only visualize them one by one. Is there a way to display the skattered instances like small objects (cubes, pyramids, small trees-like low-poly geometry, etc.) alongside parallelipipedic wireframes?
