I was wondering if a paint area of a skatter surface could be used on the render list for masksing purposes.
i explain myself, i used this paint area to skatter some stones for making a road, but what if i wanted to use the same paint area and invert it to make grass around that paint area.
when i create a new skatter group or load a preset i can´t see that paint area on the new group, but when i return to the first skatter group there it is, so the question is:
could there be a way to copy or store a paint area to use it on another skatter group?
cheers!

Re: [Question] about paint areas
It's on my todo list, yeah ![]()
Re: [Question] about paint areasTalking about painting, I'd like to create a custom brush, say around 6ft with a 2 ft fall and I would also like a reverse brush/eraser that deletes with the same fall off for creating custom paths.
Re: [Question] about paint areas
I guess I could do that. Use a custom shape as brush. I'll add it to my todo list.
Are you talking about erasing some part of an area you've painted? => "Erase" button Or having your painted area as exclude? => Select the area, "Exclude"
Re: [Question] about paint areas
I want to populate a large slope area with a mixture of long, short grass with weeds etc, then using a brush I want to erase parts to create a foot path. so I'd like the fall off controllable if possible
Re: [Question] about paint areasCreate a new Paint Area and make it "Exclude".
Is that what you're trying to acheive?
