Clever Pete! Nice work on the scenery I find things are manageable in vray as long as I'm using larger clumps of vegetation as proxies. I do hope there is some fix to parsing one of these days...

Vray 3 is coming, and according to Noel's presentation at Casecamp, it's a heck lot faster!

"Skatter" means treasures in Norwegian This tool is just what I need to make Sketchup the perfect workbench. Made this in 3 hours and rendered with presto in 4 hours. My titan went down after one hour, so I guess the render time could have been around 2 hours. Photoshop: Adjusted colours, added vignette, painted hairs straws where the light hits the boys head and added some dirt to he’s shirt. I will post this in the Thea Render Forum so the guys have something to look forward to. I know there is some hard waiting amongst our friends there

Testing an idea for a soccer field. This is a very static scatter but Skatter amazes me. This model is over a 100 meters long. Rendered in 34 min. I do not know the amount of proxies but it is a lot. Used the short grass proxies and doubled the density. WOW

Nice one Krokaa, if I may ask, how did you get your sides so 'fluffy'?
I see some amazing stuff around here! I just started testing, here's a quick one to try.
Rendered with Vray, added contrast in PP. I'll be testing Skatter in a much bigger scene tomorrow, let's see how Skatter and Vray hold up together!
Cheers, Roo Evans

For the text? It's non-extruded 3D text

More testing while working towards a final image, so far Skatter is behaving like a champ, I do experience some preformance issues but I think it's expected wtih all the data.
Took about 15mins to export, has 4 different render "presets", 2 of them have been made using the paint tool..
New render with buildings cooking!
Cheers, Roo Evans

was playing around with Skatter and its Altitude-Setting to get the water line right, when suddenly two drones passed in front of my camera... 2015-12-03_RiverMeadow_small.jpg Sunrays and some color adjusments in Photoshop. Everything else is pure Skatter / Thea magic

Here's an image I made for fun called "The hike". SketchUp, Skatter and Thea render. The car was downloaded from 3d warehouse and the smoke was added in Photoshop. The_hike.jpg
