The 'Model T' of 3D printers?

Postby Mike Lucey » Thu May 29, 2014 10:12 pm

Steve Schell of New Matter has launched a very low cost 3D printer ($250) aimed squarely at the masses. In the design, he has taken a different approach to other 3D printers, movement is by the plate rather than the printer head.

There is also an excellent review by Kyle Vanhemert here, '3D printer with designer 'app store' is yours for £150' http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/201 ... 3d-printer

On that tv show "The Profit" the guy said he bought a 3D printer for $250,000. It was for toy prototyping.
