This is the atmosphere layer for a planet model. I'd really like to be able to duplicate this effect in Thea as Thea allows me a lot more control over various layers such as land bump maps, night lights layer, cloud layer etc. Then I get in the Kerk material editor. Thea also handles large images vastly better then Kerk does..
So does anyone know or good enough with Thea to figure out how to get this effect in Thea? Being Thea is essentially the full featured paid version of Kerk there's gotta be a way right?
If this isn't possible is there another way to create an atmosphere (haze or halo) around a spehere that doesn't look cheesy?
The planet image was three sketchup spheres, surface, clouds, then atmosphere. I used the Synthesis function with a Frensel Ramp to get the atmo effect..I'd really like to be able to do this in Thea.

Re: Kerkythea Synthesis Texture in Thea??? Anyone know how?
Link goes nowhere..what is the Thread Title? Re: Kerkythea Synthesis Texture in Thea??? Anyone know how?The link works for me but anyway this is the thread title:
“Save the world - how to create clear atmosphere” And this is the direct link: https://www.thearender.com/forum/viewto ... ilit=earth Re: Kerkythea Synthesis Texture in Thea??? Anyone know how?
The link calls for me to sign in then it says I'm not authorized to view that forum..A search for the thread title in the board index comes up zero. Re: Kerkythea Synthesis Texture in Thea??? Anyone know how?As far as I know , both layers are replaceable with Thea materials. It is a while that I am not using Thea anymore but I think for the clouds layer you still may use "white colored Fresnel ramp layer, Masked by Noise procedural texture".
For the atmosphere also the edited Fresnle ramp could be used, there are several advanced option embedded in Thea Fresnel ramp. My perspective shortcuts book: https://bit.ly/30Tdbce
