A bit of a work in progress, it's been through several iterations so far and a long way to go. Hopefully it will eventually become a real thing about 1 metre across. I'm not intending it to function but it should all work and be manually poseable.

Not sure what impresses me more , your modeling skills or your imagination ! Not enough bravos to do it justice. Did I mention I hate spiders?

I can assure you don't want to be inside my head. Here's an earlier attempt at working out how all the legs should work, just needs a dolls head and you've got the creepy one from toy story.

Thanks Gents.
Not quite steampunk, not enough fripperies for that, more sci fi/terminator/robot wars type of thing. Can't decide if the 'fangs' should be guns or nasty implements rather than just bighty things.

Extremely sharp and a great subject imho. I have some recent immigrants from europe in my kitchen. Fake widow spider which are related the the black variety but less harmful with a bite similar to a wasp or bee sting. Spiders are very useful keeping flying bugs under control so I like to protect mine.

Another step along the path, no time to work the geometry but able to fiddle the textures.

I've used a bit of Clothworks to give the spider some weight.
