Re: [WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13*sigh*
Beautiful. Just beautiful. See my portfolio at https://delphiscousin.blogspot.com/
Re: [WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13Dang these are looking great.
Re: [WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13Trying out 'Shadow Catcher' and DOF with Thea. Really not happy with strength of the shadow or the tyre material so any feedback or pointers are really appreciated.

Re: [WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13Tried using the contrast in Thea?
Re: [WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13Yep, this was given PS treatment with exposure, levels etc. Follow your vimeo exactly. Would the fact that my ibl is a jpg matter? These are only tests so I can get to grips with Thea.

Re: [WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13
Using jpg in illumination channel certainly can have a negative effect, better stay in full range HDR. Best option is to use a low resolution HDR in illumination channel (Image Based Lighting), very high resolution LRD in Background mapping and medium to high resolution HDR in Reflection/Refraction mapping. Maps just like you can find in sIBL. Welcome to try Thea Render, Thea support | kerkythea.net -team member
Re: [WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13Still fine tuning the materials and looking for a better/suitable HDR. It's true, thea is Addictive

Re: [WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13Wow!
![]() Er, I just noticed. The fenders aren't actually attached to anything, are they? Unless I'm missing something? See my portfolio at https://delphiscousin.blogspot.com/
Re: [WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13Good spot. I have modelled some but didn't like them. The fenders at the moment are too low poly so they're getting bombed too! Eventually it'll be done

Re: [WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13Very nice car render!

Re: [WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13Rich is using 'sky hooks' to fixed the fenders or mudguards as we call then over here

Re: [WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13
Can't tell about the fenders in the posted pictures. They look really good. Looking forward to the finished model. Everything looks great even now. See my portfolio at https://delphiscousin.blogspot.com/
Re: [WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13Those look great Rich. However the cropping is a bit uncomfortable, if you could add just a bit of space above the car I think it would add so much.
Re: [WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13Very nice work, Rich.
20 years or so ago a late friend and his brother built a Type 35 from scratch. It had the tapered boat tail body. The American Bugatti Club said it was so accurately built, they said it could wear the Bugatti badge. It was sold to a guy in Arizona and I don't know what's become of it. Etaoin Shrdlu

Re: [WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13Messing with a different HDRI and paint type. I'm really not feeling the the default 'Old Tyre' material in Thea.
Cockpit also under construction, so if anyone has a link to some nice old fashioned dial textures it would be appreciated. There's a frontroom and a backroom....reverse faces
Re: [WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13For me doesn t look right at all..although looks pretty nice it s yelling for some proper mechanics ..

Re: [WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13Keep it up. This is great work. I like the B&W image above as well.

Re: [WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13Hi there,
Nice work ( where´s the like button? ![]() ![]() Seriously, I am a huge fan of such vintage beauties. Just thought maybe you could find something useful here ( especially on bugatti forums, there are also some free ebooks available ) http://www.bugattibuilder.com/forum/ http://www.prewarcar.com/classifieds/ad47672.html http://www.bugattipage.com/bsalpart.htm Cheers! Comfortably numb...
Re: [WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13Mate like Eric I love the B/W's! Though not sure about the bitumen road, seems out of place. The B/W coming out of the garage is seriously superbe!!!!
![]() I'd love to see you turn one of the B/W's into an ad with the full works, fonts style, price! Priceless I reckon! These little projects are the stuff that keep us alive! ![]() Re: [WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13Thanks for the feedback guys. This is a painfully slow model as time to play is hard find. To those who PM'd me with some excellent links to more pics I thank you again...
![]() Rebuilt the whole front suspension system based on those links and it's spurred me on to finish this once and for all. There's a frontroom and a backroom....reverse faces
Re: [WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13Your last render image are incredibly nice, congrats for the modeling work too...

![]() That is really appreciated ![]() @Mick I will be sharing the model when complete for others to work their magic. But i do like the pseudo clay/cartoon look too There's a frontroom and a backroom....reverse faces
Re: [WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13
