Dear Fredo6: this is getting to a point that it's getting hard to find new words to describe your work and what your doing for this comunity and sketchup itself...so i'll just have to say: THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. sorry for my lack of originality I'm feeling bad for not helping you with nothing since your plugins more than once have helped finishing my (personal or professional) projects, and you never ask nothing in return for this plugins, so if you need any help in any project of yours, (modeling, texturing , rendering etc), some tips, tricks, toturials, info on software or whatever or even just a good discussion, anything that i can help just tell me. i would gladly help you Sketchup should raise a statue to people like you or at least mentione guys like you for keeping sketchup alive and at leas just suport high poly since the plugins are getting more and more sofisticated (sorry my english) and the only things "pulling them down" it's sketchup itself with their own limits After all the plugins you released, and all for free (are you nuts?!?!) i don't know what more to do or say to show how gratefull i am. Again: thank you David

As always another tour de force... The tools work very well... except the bevel/chamfer - which I suspect is the simplest of the three ? - which keeps bug-splatting me e.g. a 1m cube 100/150mm bevel to top or all edges... Sure it'll be a simple fix...

Looks stellar. Should help add a new level of realism to Sketchup Rendering. Nothing like a nice round corner to catch those specular highlights! Thank you kind sir!!

Pilou, Thanks. Could you be more explicit on the bug splat in v7. TIG has one too, but apparently only with Bevel. Do you see the Progress bar and then get a bugsplat, or does it happen right away when you execute? Fredo

Note: my bugsplats are with v7 and using bevel only, it does work perhaps 10% of tries, rest it splats immediately !

TIG, Pilou,
Does it happen with complex shapes, meaning those where the operation would take several seconds.
I never got any Splat in my environments, so it is difficult for me to reproduce. But it maybe related to the way I make the operation interruptible. I guess that because you probably have fast machines, something happens in the first milliseconds of the operation.
It may be specific to SU7, because precisely SU7 blocks the GUI while creating geometry.
Thanks
Fredo

My splats occur with a very simple 1m cube with 100mm bevel, to top face or multi-edges. it usually splats, but when it works it's done almost instantaneously ! The other 2 types of rounding work fine - never splatted yet !!!

Could it be that it bugsplats as it tried to create faces too small? TIG: If you make a 10m cube and use 1000mm bevel, does it work then?

Good thinking - although you might think that a simple bevel, with no small faces, would not respond to this (unlike the rounding options that cause NO splats at the 1m/100m size)... BUT I scaled it up x10 [10m cube 1m bevel] AND the bevel works fine for almost all of the time - after many tests I did eot one non-repeatable splat... Seems there's something in that idea ?

Only relevant for bugsplats issues
I still don't understand what is the exact problem. I tried under SU7 with a cube of 10 meters dimensions and a 1 mm bevel, and it works without any splat (though you hardly see the bevel).
In any case, as the origin might be subtle, I have equipped the processing methods with a file trace (file FredoTraceRoundCorner.txt in the Sketchup Plugins directory). You just drop the attached file in the ROUNDCORNDER_Dir_20 folder.
If you are able to reproduce a bugsplat, could you please send me the text file.
Thanks
Fredo

Fredo , thank you very much for this tools. I tested in sketchup 7pro and Sketchup 6pro, and it works perfect. Using Windows XP SP3 in Spanish. If you need any proof of plugins, in particular, just tell me. Tip> Can upload a file with different geometries, to test your plugins? To verify any type of error

all works fine here, i tried it on a 20mm box with a 1mm bevel and that works perfect. SU7 however with that special command bar that appears when i hover the mouse over any button there the cursor prompt say invalid ???
