Help with material, maps - metallic

Postby hena_jan » Fri Dec 28, 2018 9:22 pm

Hello, I would like to ask for help. How can I make wallpaper or fabric look like these pictures? I have searched the internet but found nothing :( Some pattern on fabric or non woven wallpaper is metallic, shiny and the rest of the texture is matte. Sorry for my english, thank you VERY MUCH for your help :)

Hi
I'm not a V-Ray user but will assume it works in a similar fashion to other renderers. In SU, create the pattern entity and assign with a unique colour name ie.Wallpaper-Arabesque-Silver. Then, I'm guessing here, assign that colour in V-Ray with a metallic property and adjust the reflectance or desired properties. If this isn't correct, I apologize for creating any confusion and hopefully a V-Ray user will step in.
Best of Luck!
