It has been a long while since the last Render this challenge, I take responsibility as I have been rather busy, however I should not let work get in the way of playtime. Our next challenge is a futuristic tank modeled by Petey (Matsua_Lano)http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=48747 As always there is no time limit, no restrictions on setup, use any render engine you like, in any style you like, be it photo real or NPR. The important thing is to have some fun. Matsuao_Lano tank.jpg Model in SU version 8.

(Nice idea!) My little contribution (sandbox underground, SU export with different styles, Indigo Renderer, FotoSketcher, little time, ...) (a bit confused, but I didn't want to spend more time )

Great stuff Cotty, I like the NPR style. I went for an HDRI inserted render, snow done with Artisan and integrated, rendered with Thea. This was a quick test render, I'll play some more and get a better render later. testtank.jpg

One problem I had is that the material I used for the main body wouldn't render. Any suggestions?

Tadema, that's awesome, you really need to show me your technique on how you integrate models into photo's.

Wow. Nice job, guys. I don't see guns. Maybe these are "peaceful" tanks to take non-combatants to safety.

Hello Pete, It's an HDRI image with the tanks scaled and moved around until they sit right. The helicopter and plane are from the wharehoue, a little smoke, dirt and rotor blades in PS. Here's the raw render. John

I see, I thought it was a photo, as you do for your amazing houses. Here I also used an HDRI. Tank on road.jpg

Very good model...and really great also this wall-e I've found in the warehouse by Nicola Ragni. With such good models I made just a quick setup in Thea, AMC adaptive engine, glare effect and a little vignetting in Gimp wall.png

Damn. Can I vote now? Seriously. Why aren't you working for the archives? And how do I "quote" the picture? Loco and Olishea have the "eye" as well.
