@johnsenior1973

This is my version of the gun you made, though it took longer than 30 minutes:

Hi, this is my first entry here at Sketchucation. I'm a beginner, so I'm only doing this to challenge myself + having fun. Hope you don´t mind! :D

Hi Björn and welcome!

As this challenge is mainly (if not merely) for fun, of course there is no problem with a beginner posting in it!

Can you use plugins? Even if not, I'm entering this one. Just came up with the neatest idea... 8-)

Sure - there are a lot of entries made with plugins. Even commercial plugins are allowed (although they are not accessible for everyone).

This challenge is mainly to see what can be done in SU (what SU is capable of) in a limited period of time and of course plugins are mainly that can speed modelling complex things up.

Nice one david.
Csaba, does painting count in your time? After youre all done with the model can you paint it even if your 30 min are finished?

Allow me to quote the rules again, that are in the first post.

remus wrote:The rules:
-30 mins max modelling time
-unlimited prep time (thinking, sketching, looking for pics etc. NO MODELLING!)
-I will ask people to judge the models on time taken to model, quality of the model and originality of the idea.
-Multiple entries are allowed, keep it sensible though.
-Please provide a wire frame shot of your model when you post.
-Sketchup output only (and as much as i know you love rendering your models, it would be appreciated if you could hold of posting them in the gallery until after the comp.)
-Any texturing should be done within the modelling time.

Start to finish you have 30 min.

In fact I had used extensively:
-unlimited prep time (thinking, sketching, looking for pics etc. NO MODELLING!)
(I'm not completely sure of what is meant by "NO MODELLING")
And the plugins I have used allow a very enhanced speed (I have revised them before)
I have also reached the 30' so closed. The project is far of what I wanted to do.
At least the video (maybe a bit unfair because it shows pretty better the model than simple picture) takes me much time

Hi!

The challenge is harder than I thought but interesting.
Sorry I did not get enough time for painting.

Lol, How'd he build it for under $100? He needed a Playstation3. Those, by themselves cost more than $100.

Still, seem like fun project.
