Speed Modelling Challenge #24 Laser Gun

Postby remus » Tue Mar 23, 2010 8:21 am

Laser Gun

The rules:
-30 mins max modelling time
-unlimited prep time (thinking, sketching, looking for pics etc. NO MODELLING!)
-I will ask people to judge the models on time taken to model, quality of the model and originality of the idea.
-Multiple entries are allowed, keep it sensible though.
-Please provide a wire frame shot of your model when you post.
-Sketchup output only (and as much as i know you love rendering your models, it would be appreciated if you could hold of posting them in the gallery until after the comp.)
-Any texturing should be done within the modelling time.

Comp closes at 6:00 PM GMT on 6th April.

Good luck!

Well, with the last couple of contests, it seemed that the first person won them because nobody knew how to scroll down!

But I see you're trying to win the hearts of the Mac community by putting your gun on a Mac background! :ecstatic:

:(

It hurts to be shunned by the community! That 'Purple' winner's tag feels like a badge of shame now......

like I said. . .I could go on all day with this one. But this will be my last one. . . I promise. . .maybe.

I give you . . .

THE HEAT GUN!

THis is 1970's retro sci-fi. This non-lethal weapon produces a blast of hot air rendering anything wet immediately dry.
Major drawbacks It's not cordless. It tends to breakdown about every three weeks. Can leave you with split ends.

:roflmao: I crack myself up sometimes!

aliens vs humans and the takeover of the world
but this time the aliens dont fight. they have genetically modified the
human brain into a gun that can shoot thoughts via ultrasound vibrations.

so the takeover of the human race is done with absolute peace has already begun.
who wouldnt love such aliens!

Because we all know that scary monsters and aliens do not exist in the real world (George Bush and Dick Cheney are still being confirmed) we need a different gun to destroy them, a gun that is designed in ones mind, can shoot laser beams, fire balls, bullets, plasma, meatballs...anything you can think of.

It calls for the HAND GUN, the most accurate device ever imagined, as it hits everything the eye and mind imagines.

The originl HAND gun.

STALKER gun
This gun can measure any speed of an object. The prey of this gun is never going to know what hit him. Only weaknes are small very fast moveing things that are hard to aim at (bullets :?)
Be aware because anyone with this gun can be stalking you in any bush at any time. :roflmao:

It took me 34 mins :D

Not exactly what I wanted, nor as fast and easy as I first thought :/
I ran out of time trying to make the grip, so... well, here is my entry and also the first time I enter the challenge.
