Just had a go at making a ship in 30 minutes, it's gonna a be an interesting challenge if anyone will participate, but i need to change my technique, my ship is rubbish. here's a pic. Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #13 Space ShipOkay. .. I'm in. 30 mins. Didn't have time to do an interior, but I think this speaks for itself. And George really should holding the Joystick, but in the future cars will drive themselves.
![]() Jane. .. get me off this crazy thing!. . . Called Love! (name the Movie!) If I make it look easy...It is probably easy
Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #13 Space ShipReally nice ship, David
![]() Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #13 Space ShipHere is my go at it. I have a couple more ideas in mind but don't know if I will be able to do more than the one entry.

Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #13 Space ShipI see this thing at about 3000 feet long.
The mesh was made by creating 10 stacked profiles of same segment, selecting/arranging groups of verticies with the scale and move tool to modify the profiles. The stack was skined with the loft ruby tool. The bow and stern where shaped with the freeform ruby. The colors where accomodated by lofting in sections which then created groups which could easily be selected and colored. The image below shows the original wire used to make this model...nothing was added or taken away except the straight lines needed to sew up the gap after the loft. Each curve was divided into 8 sections to give me some wire to freeform after I created the layers. Last edited by modelhead on Fri Jun 12, 2009 5:24 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #13 Space ShipHere's another quickie.
In case it wasn't readily apparent. . I am a child of 1960's television. The Jupiter 2 from Lost in Space. Danger Will Robinson! Danger! If I make it look easy...It is probably easy
Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #13 Space ShipHere is my entry finally.
1. Just push/pull and scale for the ship 2: then a fast, rough silhouette(Tell me if this is wrong)and follow me to make the turbins and then fast copied. 3. Then just sqares, I've already cut the painting right. But it might have been 20 seconds over time limit or something, because of the unbeleavable lagg when I copied the container, I hope that's ok. Don't stop the progress Bar!

I've always wanted to enter but have struggled to find time and inspiration Hope you like, my inspiration for this was Flight of the Navigator http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flight_of_the_Navigator Toby
Philippians 4:13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #13 Space ShipNice Tobobo, I think you captured it pretty well.
I missed your request for the movie title... "So I Married an Axe Murderer" Great film. And I did not even have to look it up ![]() I can see Mike Meyers on stage right now... Now this I did look up: "Woman... woe-man... whoooa-man. She was a thief, you got to belief, she stole my heart and my cat. Judy, Betty, Josie and those hot Pussycats... they make me horny, on Saturday morny... girls of cartoo-ins will leave me in ruins... I want to to be Betty's Barney. Hey Jane... get me off this crazy thing... called love."
Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #13 Space ShipHeads up, just a few hours to go, not too late to enter.
