nesting DC components - how many levels?

Hi -
How many levels can you nest dynamic components?
For my fence model I have a horizontal lattice piece that is DC for scaling it's width (with dado) it is made up of left end - dado segment - right end.

there is a vertical member that I want to place against 15 or so of the horizontal members.

I then want to be able to make that set of components into a component that replicates.

Anyway, there is also some framing that I need to dynamically move position based on the overall width of the base lattice.

So - how many layers can I nest and still reference?

is it able to be run up and down the nested stack?

Thanks

You can only reference attributes a distance of one component away. Parent -> Child, Child -> Parent, Sibling -> Sibling.

So if you need deeply nested DC's then you need to repeat the attribute at each level.
