You know, somtimes you never think of another way to do a certain thing, because the way you do it, you know it works.

With a little common sense on my part and some of the skills, of the ruby gurus, I have a new, much simpler way to get terrains in my models, the system works well.

I was jumping around the 'net to find accurate ways to get terrains in my models, I would go to www.xxy to get name of the quadrangle, I was interested in, then go to www.xxz to get a DEM. Then I would import it scale it and trim the terrain to suit. Then paint it some terrain like color, then use it for my SP models to "drive" around in(on).

Now with the help from couple of folks here, and a little common sense on my part, my quest for terrains is much quicker, more accurate, and more efficient.
