Models in 3d warehouse with Metadata

Models in 3d warehouse with Metadata

Postby leedeetee » Thu Jan 14, 2010 7:44 am

Hiya,

When adding models to the 3d warehouse, I obviously want to add as much metadata as possible about the buildings I am working on, however I am just wondering about where one stands with regard to copyright. Obvioulsy a lot of information I have gathered is from books I have read and/or the internet.

Should one use their own prose from the assembled information, or is it better to use references at the bottom of the metadata?

Just wondering how modelers have got over this problem, or If I should just ignore my concerns!?

Thanks,

Lee

Hi Lee,

See how a fellow modeller from my city solved the "problem" here (at the end of the description).

The text was derived from this website (you will need Java to see the content) where I wrote the info captions (allegedly sometimes in bad English but hey, that's not my mother tongue) ;)

Ah ok, thank you Gaeius.

I think just referencing whatever information I use is the most practical way of getting round this potential problem then. :-)
