Dave- I am trying to help someone who is new at SU.

We went into sketchup.com/download/all and tried to get Make. It seemed to download ok but when we went to open it, it asks for a licence for Pro but won't allow Make. The guy had a Pro trial some time ago that has expired, and we don't know if that's part pf the problem. But we've tried several times and always hit the same wall. comments?

Only SketchUp 2017 and below has Make.

https://www.sketchup.com/download/all

The latest release is Pro only. For the free version you need to use my.sketchup.com browser based SketchUp.

I suggest contacting SketchUp support and getting them to help sort things out. You should be able to download SketchUp Make 2017, but the old Pro license may be the problem.
Good luck.
