Issue With Select Region Box
-
I been experiencing a problem adding Google Earth imagery in both the 2015 and 2016 version of SketchUp Make. I'm currently using the free trial of pro, and am on a 2011 13' Macbook Pro with OSX Yosemite (10.10.5).
When trying to add imagery from Google Earth, everything works fine other than the region selection box. When trying to grab one of the four corners for resizing, the box does not respond until I release the mouse button. After releasing the mouse button sometimes the corner will move to the location I want, but other times will teleport to a completely different location.
When I first downloaded the 2015 version, everything worked very smoothly for about two weeks. I was hoping that the 2016 would clear up the issue, but I am still encountering the same problem constantly.

Have you checked and perhaps modified the OpenGL settings in Preferences?
-
I haven't ever modified the preferences. At the moment the "use hardware acceleration" and "use fast feedback" are checked. "Use maximum texture size" is unchecked. This is what is was by default.
I just tried modifying it to see if it made it better or worse, but it doesn't seem to have any effect regardless of what I select.

After unitcking Use Hardware Acceleration, quit Sketchup and restart it. See if that changes the behavior.

For the moment that seems to have fixed the problem of the box corners teleporting to random locations, which was the biggest problem.
Visually, I still don't see the box corner change location until after I release the mouse button, but I'm not too worried about that as long as it is functioning properly. Thanks for the help!
