[Feature Request] Bounding Box Limit Control

Got an idea to improve SketchUp?

[Feature Request] Bounding Box Limit Control

Postby onzki » Fri Jun 15, 2018 4:29 am

Hi Everyone!
I'm sure many know this already that if bounding box is ridiculously huge- zooming in an object would be impossible without ghostings, auto cropping your view as you move closer. I hope we can control the bounding box size and limit of our model, to the point that there will be alert if such limit is breached-and most importantly ID the culprit! :) AutoCAD block imports are usually notorious in an unexplainable way for creating these unncecessary bounding box. I hope Sketchup developer can deal with it soon. Thanks!

The bounding box isn't causing the issue, the issue is causing the bounding box.
Look inside the box for stray geometry somewhere around the border of the box. Remove that and the bounding box will fit neatly around your model.
