Dear Sepo,

Is this plugin free? I ask because of the requirement to include details of a billing/shipping address. I'm not keen on supplying such details for a once-off visit to a site.

Regards,
Bob

Yes Bob - it's free (and you are not required to fill too many details, id, pass and email will do)

Yes it is free plugin and yes not too many details as Cadfather said. There are some free texture packs there as well if you want them. ;)

Looks to me as if you go to the link in the original post and register there you should be able to get it.

You should extract ALL of the files from the zip and put them into the ../Plugins/ folder.
Looks like you didn't do that

There are other tools available like my 'WorkPlane' toolset that do something similar...

There are many much simpler tools available to get a grid...
This is a 'poor' example, involving overly complex coding ideas...

If you feel you must have this one then please read the txt file in the zip file...
For a Mac, copy the wxSketchup.bundle file to
~/Library/Application Support/.../Plugins.
You may need to create the Plugins folder first.
If you have wxRuby.bundle or cgrid.xrc in this directory, remove them.
I now see you are on a MAC
[Why won't members show their OS/version in their details :? It would help!]
The zip file that you have doesn't even have that file in it - just the .so that's needed on a PC ??? You're stuffed! It's PC only...

That's because it's not there. They seem to have stopped supporting the MAC OS.
As I said it's not the 'best of the bunch' anyway...

There are many 'Grid' tools...
Search here for my WorkPlane toolset...
There are also several others these are the ones a quick search threw up at the 'crai' Depot...

Where is Grid2? I can't find it after registering at that Podium site.
I really need a grid generating plugin and I guess this is the only one.
I am having difficulty in finding it.
You have already spend time and efforts for the potential users but
please elaborate in describing where to find the useful plug in.

If you carefully [re]read my preceding posts you'll note that this specific tool appears to be no longer available [after three years!] and/or suited to MAC OS... but I do recommend several other equivalent tools that are freely available and more than fill the gap it leaves on all OSs...
