i have downloaded pathcopy.rb from smustard, unzipped the file and placed it (the resulting folder) in my plugins folder. all well and good.
however, when i select a group or component it does not appear anywhere. i must have done something wrong, but what?
i'd appreciate if someone could elucidate this problem.

Edson,
This script isn't installed on this computer at work now so I'm just guessing - cannot it be in the context (right click) menu? Have you checked that, too?

I get an error everytime I open SketchUp with this one in my Plug Ins directory. I really should have followed up but I just removed it.
It keeps looking for : vector.flat_angle.rb
Whicx it says it can't find, but it is alos in the PlugINs directory and it would appear named correctly as well. SO I just gave up.

Edson, I don't know what to say, it shows and works fine here, but then I'm on a PC and you're on a Mac.
It shows in my SU under Plugins > Copy Along Path > (two choices: copy to path nodes / copy to spacing).
Did you get all 3 files from the compressed download and drop all of them into your plugins folder? The PNG image needs to go into a subdirectory to the Plugins folder tha is called "icons".

I got mine working.
Edson I think the secret is that you might be looking for "pathcopy" and what you should be looking for is copy along a path as stated above by juju

juju and susan, as you can see, there is no Copy along a Path on my plugins menu. and nothing seems to be missing from the pathcopy folder. i even tried to move the icons folder up, ie, outside where it is now. nothing worked. perhaps the author himself would help me. thanks anyway. edson

Edson, I'm sure that you know, but just in case, you did close SketchUp and open again AFTER you put the Ruby in the Plug Ins folder, right? It won't activate until you start up a fresh copy of SketchUp.

Okay, I see what's wrong. I took a look at your directory. Take everything OUT of the Patcopy folder and put it directly under the Plug Ins folder. the rb should not be in a folder, only the Icons should be in a folder but directly under the Plug Ins folder.

hey, susan, you are a genius. i had remembered to close SU so that it would activate newly moved stuff.
i moved all files up and it worked! thanks.(almost included a smilie here but refrained from it as i remembered you are not too fond of them these days)
