PS. Not very important but when you apply the sketchybevel tool 2 times.. the plugin create a lot of extra lines that are not used and not create faces... is there a way to easily eliminate this lines?

Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1
Only thing you can do is turn off "cap holes" after 1st bevel and then fill them in by hand. Hopefully I can figure out how to eliminate the extra faces in future version.
Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1Daniel, you could also try running that CAD cleanup script that was recently released (sorry i cant remeber exactly what its called or who its by
EDIT: this is the one i meant.
Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1Missed this one while I was away, but a nice present upon my return - Thanks!
Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1
Thank you, but it dosen´t work with this lines. I have another old script that removes unused Edges but don´t delete this ones. It´s not a big problem, but when you use soften edges this lines affect the model. Daniel S Please, register (free) to access all the attachments on the forums.
Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1 very cool! Merci. Spasibo. Gracias. Danke. Tanks a lot! If I make it look easy. . .rest assured--it probably is.
Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1too bad i don't visit the ruby forum...i found a link to this topic in the Kerkythea forum.
anyway, thanks a lot for this plugin!
Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1Chris, this is incredibly useful script. What a stud you are. Thank you very much. In case anybody was wondering, this works in SU5 as well as SU6.

Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1Ah yes, the old "delete the related components" trick. It's a feature. Actually I see the same thing. It appears that the plugin doesn't appreciate components. Still, thank you very much for this. Inspecting mirrors is a job I could easily see myself doing.
Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1
So the problem is that you cant bevel geometry inside a component? Ill try to fix that next version.
Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1That seems to be half of what Jon was illustrating. The other is that the other instances of the component get deleted and the one that is being edited ends up exploded.
Thanks again for this plugin. Dave Inspecting mirrors is a job I could easily see myself doing.
Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1
Oh, That. Yeah Ill fix.
Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1
Have been following this thread for a while, great ruby!! Is there a chance of the plug-in being converted to metric for those of us on the other side? cheers, purpose/expression/purpose/....
Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1(Updated May 11)May 11 update.
-Fixed hang bug if input box canceled. -Beveling now works inside of groups and components. -Bevel amount should now be in the set unit format (meters, cm, feet, etc) -Somewhat better capping of holes. Still far from perfect. Sometimes it still leaves holes so there is a "Cap Holes" right click option. download/file.php?id=9003
Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1(Updated May 11)Cheers chris, good to see cotinued development
Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1(Updated May 11)Thanks very much for the input in metric. !!

Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1(Updated May 11)fantastic, i used to get some persistent error message at times - end task being the only way out - i'll report if any.. Thank You
now i bevel just about anything..
Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1(Updated May 11)This may be a dumb question but when I try to download the file I keep getting it in text format... do I just the delete the .txt from the end of it or just put it in the script folder and it knows what to do? Ohh.. and I am using Safari as my internet browser.

Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1(Updated May 11)You'll need to change the file extension to .rb for it to work. Not sure why its downloading it as a .txt though
Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1(Updated May 11)Figured it out... for some reason Safari downloads it as a txt file for some reason. Worked like a charm in IE even though I don't like using IE. Thanks Remus!

Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1(Updated May 11)I use safari on my Mac and .rb's save normally, must be a setting.
Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1(Updated May 11)I looked at my preferences... everything is the way it is supposed to be. Maybe it is because I'm using Safari on Windows or something. Do they automatically save to your desktop or does it give you an option on where you want to save it?

Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1(Updated May 11)Yup to the desktop unfortunately, I hardly use the Mac so it's no big deal really. every now and again I have to clean it all up as I run out of space on desktop.
Re: [Plugin] SketchyBevel 0.1(Updated May 11)Hi
with safari 2 it saves on the desktop but with safari 3 and 10.5 it saves where you want and you can check this in safari's preferences Never tried safari 3 with 10.4
