View in GoogleEarth link

Postby twharvey » Fri Mar 28, 2008 11:44 am

Hi all,

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this problem; redirect me if needed.

When I try to use the View in Google Earth link from a model page in SU, I get the following error message:

C:\Documents and Settings\Thomas W. Harvey\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\8A203BK3\House[1].kmz

This Parameter is incorrect.

Does anybody know how to fix this problem?

Thanks and regards,
Tom

Correction: the line, "When I try to use the View in Google Earth link from a model page in SU" should read, "When I try to use the View in Google Earth link from a model page in 3D Warhouse".

Hi Tom,

Previously I used to have some similar problem when I chose to directly open the file from the download. Then saving the kmz file on the hard drive and opening it from there seemed to be a workaround (rather than really "solving" the problem).

BTW - long time no see!

Hi Gaius,

Yeah, long time. My wife and I went to the US to visit family plus all the holiday stuff.... Back now and still doing my churches.

Regards,
Tom

Gaius,
There are 8 new ones now in 3D Warehouse, http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/ ... 729b37a541, that haven't yet been included in GE. I guess I should write to CraigD and let him know.
