Rotate Turret and Canon

Rotate Turret and Canon

Postby theresius » Tue Jul 10, 2012 10:32 am

Hello everyone,

I’m just a beginner in Sketchup and also in DC.
My problems is the next one. I would like to create a Canon Turret.
I have already created the canon and the turret and also create a DC for each one, but I would like to have the same DC as the door and the handle.

I explain. I would like that my turret turn at 90 deg and the canon move. I did it separately but together I cant.

If I can have some help or information I appreciate.

I can do it, do you have keyframe_animation plugin? If so I can give you a step by step tutorial on how to do it, it's very simple once you know how :thumb:

Keyframe is a great, inexpensive alternative for people who want to animate objects, but don't need or want to purchase SketchUp Pro for Dynamic Components.

Why would you want to make it a dynamic component, keyframe animation does it just fine :D

I sent a reply but apparently it was not working.

Thank you for your reply and your help.

I tried to use the plugins Keyframes component but it's a vidéo plugins and also a trial version. My point is, I dont need to use a video plugins. I just want to use dynamic component or other things to move the turrets inside my models not as a video.

So, in theory, I would like to use the component like this:

-Open the models (see picture below)
-Use the hand tools from the dynamic component
-Click (with the hand tool) on the models
-Turrets (all the turrets)move to 90 degree
-When the turret finish to move, the canon move up to 30 degree.
-After the movement, I click again, and all the turret back to their previous position.

So I would like to know how to do this.

This is some pictures from my models (please be nice, it's my first models). if you need the sketchup model, just show me the way to do it.

Hello,

I think that SketchyPhysics is really much designed to do that.

Have a look at my model (http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=d307649663ad9dd982b31e1c15ea174c&prevstart=0), to see how it works.
